Reiner Class

Reiner Class joined UCB Ventures in September 2024. Reiner started his journey at UCB in 2016 as Associate Director in Investigative Toxicology and transitioned to DMPK in 2023. Prior to joining UCB, Reiner spent 10 years at the largest privately owned CRO in Germany where he build and headed the in vitro toxicology unit. From 2002-2004, he served as CSO and board member of SymbioTec successfully taking a novel biologic to clinical trials in leukemia patients. Following a post-doc at the Wistar Institute (UPenn) from 1991-92, Reiner joined the faculty of Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia as Associate Director. He received a diploma in Biology and a PhD in Biochemistry from Saarland University, Germany. Reiner has 2 adult children and enjoys playing soccer, running, and mountain biking.
